About Us

Eyebrook Trout Fishery joins the group of fisheries which includes Draycote Water, Foremark Reservoir and Thornton Reservoir under the management of Fishery Management(UK)Ltd. We look forward to welcoming you to the new 2017 Eyebrook Tout Fishery which opens on Thursday 23rd March with the fishing lodge open from 7.30am.

Ifor Jones who oversees the running of all the fisheries in the group has over 35 years experience running Stillwater trout fisheries in the midlands and is himself a keen fly angler having fished all over the UK and abroad.

Ifor for a number of years represented Midland Stillwater’s on the committee of the “Stillwater Trout Fisheries Association” becoming its chairman from 2008 – 2013.

Eyebrook’s 400 acres with 4 miles of easily accessible bank fishing with its fleet of 26 boats and 3 wheely boats with access for float tubers offers the visiting angler excellent fly fishing amongst beautiful rolling farm land. Its facilities are second to none with a purpose built lodge, offering ideal facilities for the visiting anglers and for those hosting corporate days and competitions with facilities for us to provide pre booked meals.

Eyebrook over the years has been a great supporter of the English Disabled Fly Fishers Association, Fishery Management(UK)Ltd will continue to support the English Disabled Fly Fishers Association.

Eyebrook was built in 1940 to serve Corby Steelworks, with water from the reservoir still used today in the tube making plant at Corby operated by Tata Steel. The reservoir is steeped in history, with its 1943 association with the 617 Squadron, better known as “The Dambusters” who used the Eyebrook as one of its training sites.

Due to its importance as a site for wildlife habitat and conservation Eyebrook was designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1956. With this in mind our fishing season operates from late March to the end of October.

Primarily stocked with triploid rainbows Eyebrook has a healthy population of natural browns, we ask therefore that anglers would return any browns caught.

Introducing new people into our sport and helping anglers improve is important to us, we offer one to one tuition, beginner days and guided fishing trips, details found on our Tuition & Guiding website www.flyfishtuition.co.uk.
